AP Chemistry - Future Free ResponseAP Chemistry 2020 is a new module in the AP Chemistry series designed to provide a broader understanding of chemistry. Like other AP classes, AP Chemistry 2020 offers a flexible learning environment that allows students to work through the course content at their own pace and in the order that they prefer. The main difference from traditional AP Chemistry courses is that in AP Chemistry 2020, students learn topics from an independent perspective. This approach may not suit everyone's schedule, but many find it the most effective way to learn.In AP Chemistry 2020, students can expect to spend at least three hours a week working through independent study modules. Each module consists of the following five segments: one-unit lecture; one-unit practice units; one-unit research; one-unit laboratory; and one independent project. Each unit consists of two units, each of which includes three units.One-Unit Lecture In each unit, students will be given the op portunity to review core concepts of the subject. Students will also review previously covered material and practice exercises. One-Unit Practice Units In each unit, students will be asked to complete practice problems to help them understand the concepts that they learned in the lecture. Research Units In each unit, students will be asked to answer basic research questions.Laboratory In each unit, students will be provided with an introduction to laboratory work and activities. Independent Project In each unit, students will be asked to prepare a written report and implement a particular concept or strategy.After completing the AP Chemistry 2020 module, students will be given the opportunity to prepare for an exam by answering a few practice questions.
